A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §31-20-30, relating
transferring control of the McDowell County Corrections
Facility to the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional
Facility Authority.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §31-20-30, all to read
as follows:
ARTICLE 20. WEST VIRGINIA REGIONAL JAIL AND CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
AUTHORITY
§31-20-30. Transferring Control of the McDowell County Corrections
Facility.
As of the effective date of this section, the West Virginia
Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority shall assume all
responsibility for funding, operating, maintaining, administering and managing the McDowell County Corrections Facility currently
under the supervision and control of the McDowell County
Commission.
Note: The bill transfers control of the McDowell County
Corrections Facility to the West Virginia Regional Jail and
Correctional Facility Authority.
